2 arrested in south Moorhead SWAT search

MOORHEAD — Two people were arrested as the Red River Regional SWAT Team conducted a search in south Moorhead on Wednesday morning, Oct. 7. Around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, the Red River Regional SWAT Team conducted a search in the 1400 block of 20th Street South, according to a press release from the Moorhead Police Department. During the search, seven people were detained, with two taken into custody. Officers recovered a stolen handgun and approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine from the residence, the press release said. Antonio Stevens, 39, of Moorhead, was charged for first-degree controlled substances, prohibited possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property, the press release said. Tatum Benson, 23, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, was arrested on outstanding warrants in Clay County and Cass County, North Dakota. Stevens and Benson were taken to the Clay County Jail.
