Gackle American Legion Auxiliary donates funds for books

The Gackle Mayer-Morlock American Legion Auxiliary Unit #250 donated funds to the Gackle-Streeter Public School to be applied toward the monthly Scholastic book order, placing a personal book into the hands of each elementary school student. Scholastic Book Club books have been going home for years. Auxiliary officials said some students are unable to order books because of limited funds. The Auxiliary donation allows each elementary student to receive books during the school year. Books are sent home with students to share, read with their family and keep as their own. ]]>
