By Field Level Media Oct 11 (Field Level Media) Mitch Marner scored a 4-on-3 power-play goal at 2:40 of overtime to give the Vegas Golden Knights a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night in Las Vegas. With Scott Laughton in the penalty box for tripping Shea Theodore six seconds earlier, Marner snapped a wrist shot from the high slot past a screen by Mark Stone and beyond the glove of Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper for the game- winner and his second goal of the season. It was Marner s eighth career overtime winner and his first with the Golden Knights. Trevor Connelly scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner, while Stone had two assists for Vegas, which extended its winning streak to four games. Carter Hart made 26 saves for the Golden Knights, who leapfrogged the Edmonton Oilers to move back into first place in the Pacific Division. Artemi Panarin scored the lone goal for Los Angeles, which remains winless (0-2-2) under first-year head coach Peter Laviolette.
