Officials responded just before 8 a.m. to the area of North Westshore Boulevard regarding a report of a body in the water. When officers arrived, they found a man dead. TPD's dive team recovered his body. Detectives are currently working to confirm the man’s identity, while the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the exact cause and manner of death.  Investigators are on-scene gathering evidence to determine the circumstances leading up to this incident.
